A call out to all potential volunteers! Darwell & District Agricultural Society Annual Barnburner Music fest, Agdrag, and Summer Fair 2010 marks the 67th anniversary The events of 2009 - Ag Drag, Barn Burner Concert, and Agricultural Fair drew 7 000 visitors. It takes a lot of volunteers to make an event like this run smoothly. Last year more than 100 people stepped up to help out. We invite you to join our team of volunteers for 2010. Who can volunteer? Anyone! We will find a job that suits your abilities. Children and youth are welcome too. We will team up children with adult volunteers. What will you be doing? There are so many choices,
Where is it all happening? At the Darwell fair grounds and Centennial Hall. When is help needed? Before, during, and after the the events listed. During the fair a typical shift is 2-4 hours long. Why would you want to help? We have fun! It is a great way to meet up with your neighbours and old friends. This is a great way to do something good for the community. (Volunteering looks good on a resume.) Free food and free admission on the day you volunteer. Call our volunteer coordinator Lori Dyck at 780-892-2079. |
